GA Consultores
Anddes’ acquisition of GA Consultores strengthens our operations in Chile by integrating a team with a proven track record in large-scale mine waste management, project engineering, and geotechnical consulting. This strategic move adds specialized expertise in hydrology, hydrogeology, environmental permitting, and tailings management. By expanding our technical capabilities and enhancing responsiveness, we reinforce our position as a regional benchmark in engineering and sustainable solutions for the mining and industrial sectors.
We offer comprehensive geotechnical and hydraulic engineering solutions for the mining and civil works sectors. Our services range from static, seismic, and dynamic stability assessments of dams and tailings storage facilities (TSFs), to conducting Dam Break Analyses (DBA), and hydrological and hydrogeological studies, including seepage analysis.
We possess extensive expertise in identifying geotechnical pathologies and events, conducting engineering peer reviews, and designing and inspecting geotechnical and hydrogeological characterization campaigns. Furthermore, we develop soil mechanics studies, provide risk assessment consulting using FMEA methodology and the ALARP principle, and perform Independent Dam Safety Reviews (DSR), ensuring the highest technical and safety standards.
We support the mining industry in implementing the highest safety and sustainability standards in tailings management. Our services include the implementation of the GISTM standard and conducting Gap Analyses for compliance, as well as evaluating MAC protocols within tailings management systems.
We develop operations manuals, maintenance and surveillance plans, along with emergency preparedness and response plans (EPRP), long-term recovery strategies, and water balances. We also provide support for Engineer of Record (EoR) documentation, including design reports, deviation reports, construction records, and design verifications. Finally, we develop Trigger Action Response Plans (TARP), contributing to proactive risk management.
We provide comprehensive advisory services for the management and procurement of environmental and sectoral permits for mining and waste projects. Our services include the preparation of Environmental Impact Declarations (DIA), as well as permit processing before regulatory bodies such as Sernageomin (National Geology and Mining Service), DGA (General Water Directorate), and MINSAL (Ministry of Health).
We develop closure plans for mining waste facilities and Compliance Plans (PdC) for the Superintendency of the Environment (SMA). Additionally, we conduct alternative analyses for particulate matter control in tailings storage facilities. We also prepare Environmental Relevance Analyses (Pertinencias), ensuring regulatory compliance and technical support at every stage of the project.
We develop comprehensive engineering projects for mining waste storage facilities and associated infrastructure, from initial studies to detailed design. We offer construction and operational QA/QC for tailings storage facilities (TSFs), Engineer of Record (EoR) services, specialized field personnel staffing, and the execution of both conventional and specialized in-situ testing.
Our approach ensures reliable solutions and high technical standards throughout every stage of the project.
We foster specialized capacity building through courses, workshops, and seminars tailored to each client’s specific needs. Our training programs encompass the design, operation, and closure of Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs), national and international regulations, the implementation of the GISTM standard, environmental geotechnics applications, as well as the dissemination of emergency plans and operation manuals.
Through these initiatives, we strengthen the competencies of technical teams and communities, promoting safe and sustainable management practices.
